OMG I just went through this exact same thing but with Sago palm poisoning. Your post just made my stomach knot up. It sounds like you got help quickly. I hope her blood work comes back saying everything is OK. So glad you are spreading the word so others can know the danger. PM me if I can help in ANY way.

Thanks to all for your prayers and support. Honey is fine and finally home snuggling next to me where she belongs. She survived having 4 times the lethal dose with no permanent liver damage. She is truly a miracle puppy!

Just saw this post. I am so glad that she made it out ok. You must have been a nervous wreck! Thank goodness you did not wait and took her to the vet immediately.

Great news, glad you got her help so fast, I'm sure this made a huge difference. Would you mind telling us what brand of gum it was and how much she ate?

Thank God she is OK! I have told everyone in my family and all my friends to stop buying that crap! It is not allowed in my house! Accidents like this can happen so quickly!

Sure-it was Dentyne-and she ate 3 pieces-the vet estimated 400 mg of xylitol-no one at work knew about the toxicity either. I'm spreading the word...
