![]() It's good to hear that Buster is still hanging in there. Quite likely, if he were a smaller Yorkie, you would have lost him by now. Just by reading your posts, it looks like Buster hasn't had a good meal in 72 hours or more. He really needs to have some solid food in him. There isn't enough food in him to soak up some of the bile in his stomach so you'll likely see some stomach upset (loose bowel movements and/or vomiting) until he eats better. I think he's just having a difficult adjustment and hopefully not something more serious. While refusal to eat and throwing up *can* be a symptom of liver shunt, it is also a symptom of a pup with a very empty stomach. Unless he's having symptoms that makes the vet think it's necessary, it's probably best to hold off on a blood draw until he's stronger. FYI, Yorkies are more prone to liver shunt but the experts don't recommend testing for it until a pup is 20 weeks old. Until that time, their organs are still developing and you can't expect an accurate result. Also, having recent vaccinations or illness could skew the results. As you go forward, watch for Buster having bad reactions after eating or to a vaccination as both of those symptoms could indicate a liver not properly functioning. For now, though, just focus on getting him settled in and eating well. Also, he should not have any vaccinations until he's 100% recovered and eating properly. Best of luck.. ![]()

![]() He is not feeling good again. Limp not responsive and can't stand up. We are doing all we know to do. I wish he would snap out of this. He hasn't vomited since the vet but he is still so up and down. nutri cal, soft puppy food, baby food fruit, p lite and water. I don't know what else to do for him. We both have to work tom. we were hoping for him to be good enough tom so I could work a little and not have him in my lap all day. This is not easy!!! I feel like we will get the same result if we go back to the vet. The vet we go to is highly recommended by EVERYONE we know that owns and animal. as in "don't take him anywhere else" as most say. ![]()

![]() I am so sorry to hear this. It really might be time to get some bloodwork done. At two pounds and with the constant meals you have been giving him, he shouldn't keep crashing. I am fearful that there is something more than hypoglycemia going on. ![]()

| ![]() I wish I knew more information for you. I'm so sorry that he's so sick. Chip was the same age, a little bigger, and had a hypoglycemic attack that sounds similar to what you're describing, but after he got food in him he was fine for good. I hope you can figure out what is wrong with him. I know they checked him for parvo, but has the vet tested him for giardia? He came from a pet store, which ultimately came from a puppy mill and giardia is spread dirty contaminated water and other sick dogs... What about coccidia?

![]() Sure hope you can get to the bottom of all this. I can really sympathize with you, my husband and I tried everything in our power to pull a little puppy out of the same thing as you are going through. We even fed him cheerios, as a last resort, when he would take them. Try to make sure he has plenty of fluids, keep him warm, and don't put all your faith in one vet. I hope he will be o.k.

![]() I am so sorry that your puppy is not doing well. I wish they would make laws against selling puppies in pet stores. You have no idea where they came from or how they were taken care of. I feed my puppies, baby rice cereal with canned goats milk. 1 part milk to 2 parts water. They always eat that when they won't eat anything else.

![]() Im so sorry he is not doing well again. Can someone stay with him all day tommorow? Just keep feeding him every two hours, he need protein and carbs, He will snap out of this if it not anything bad. Please have your vet do a full blood panel. This will tell whats going on with him. Have them keep him tommorow if you have to work and put him on IV fluids. Have you called the vet today? I would take him there now...You are doing great he is just weak. Your in our Prayers...

![]() Just take him in tonight or in the morning and let the Vet take care of him for a few days until he gains weight. I know its tough but you guys are fighters and so is Buster. Dont keep switching his food, keep him on the same food every two hours. You need to syring feed him diluted puppy food every 2 hours tonight...Getting him to 12 weeks will be great because then he will be stronger.
