| Gavin THanks everyone for all your good wishes. My son was really sick with a fever for 5 days and then I came down with a good dose of the flu and cold. I haven't been doing much but sleeping! Gavin is doing much better. The vet phoned to tell me his bloodwork was fine, just a few electrolytes were a bit out of whack but could be explained from his vomiting/diarrhea. I asked about giving him Benadryl as his skin still looked red and irritated. Before I gave him the Benadryl, I looked at his tummy and it looked much better. Normal except for a bit of red under his "armpits". His skin has cleared up and I am left with the assumption it was an allergic reaction to something. His stomach is still really sensitive and he was gagging again last night. My daughter gave him some chicken but he vomited it up after a while.z(He had been back to a normal diet for days.) Today he has been fine, with a normal appetite. I might see if the vet can recommend a dog food that might be better for his sensitive stomach. Right now, I have him on Royal Canin "Chihuahua". I don't think he is reacting to the food, (he's always had it) but maybe he needs something that digests more easily. I don't know. Either way, Gavin is much bettter and thanks everyone for caring!
