Ok...It's Tuesday - I've been checking in EVERY day since hearing about Lida.....can we have an update on this angel ? Is she doing better and keeping the rest of her little toes ? My heart really went out to her over this - bless her heart - I hope she's holding her own and will be home soon !

Windy, I can't express how sorry I am for all you are going through. I prayed for you and your family and poor little Lida. I hope that you have at least checked back here and read all the concern we all feel. I just want you to know that you can PM any of us who have shown concern. Thanks everyone for your kindness. Lida is still hanging in there, we took the bandages off for awhile yesterday and they seem to be starting to heal somewhat, some of the bone peices that were sticking out have fallen off as well, and that's good news. The vet seems to think that Lida had started dying, her body was shutting down so everything was sent to her vital organs and her extremities suffered. We are lucky the back paws weren't affected and even that she survived, the vet said he had never seen one so sick that lived, that usually when they get to the point of shut down they die so that's why you hardly ever hear of this. I am grateful that I have her, the vet researched the problem and called his alma mater for advice on what happened. She goes back tomorrow for checking out but I think that the worst is over, she is pitiful but SO sweet. I'll keep you posted.

Im glad that Lida is getting better. I will keep her in my prayers for her to keep improving and recover completely from this. Your little Lida is a strong little girl. When we all heard what was happening to Little Lida we were all so sad for you and her. Thank you so much for the update. I hope everything goes well tomorrow at the check up. Windy, I am so happy that little Lida is improving! The most important thing is that she lives! We will help you and she just sounds like such a spunky little girl, she can overcome all this! Please, just let us know what you need? At this point, it seems that the only thing we can offer are our prayers, and you certainly have those, just know that we are all here! Thank you so much for the updates!

That is great news. I'm so glad she is doing so much better. Keeps us posted.
