Your vet may not be familiar with the current protocol for diagnosing liver disease. Please give him this: Comparative Coagulation -- NYS Animal Health Diagnostic Center | |

| ![]() Yeah, after posting I waded through the forums for more info. 42 post meal isn't nearly as high as some of the numbers I've seen on here. My vet is a nice guy but I think I'm going to do a little more research and find a vet that is more familiar with small breed dogs / yorkies with liver issues. There is a small dog play group that we usually go to on Sundays so I'll do some mingling and see if I can get any recommendations. Thanks for the post on the Comparative Coagulation, I'm printing it out and will give my current vet a copy. Many thanks, Pip and Deirdre |

| ![]() You really should joing the yahoo liver shunt group. Here is the website: Liver_Shunt_And_MVD_Support : Liver Shunt & MVD/HMD Support they are so informative and know all about this condition. Someone on YT told me to go to it and they were wonderful and completely helped me decide what to do with my Teddi. I am so happy I joined. They know more than anyone about this subject.

| ![]() I had the same thing happen to Chelsea, what happen was I went to a kitchen counter factory, lots of glue smell I was holding Chelsea the whole time, but the smell was so strong it affected her, I also went to the ER they found nothing, so I took her home and after a several hours she was fine. Wow when you see them that way my heart broke. That how sensitive on furbabies smell is.
