Oh that's great, I know that must of been a hard decision for you, and I'm glad you were able to do what's best for him. I hope you can occasionally get him out with friendly dogs though. Best of luck!

| I'm glad to hear that everything worked out. My little furbaby Cassi is also timid around dogs (or perhaps I'm misinterpretating her behavior). She was never attacked by another dog before, but everytime when she's out and another dog comes near to sniff her, she'll immediately lay down or roll on her back and let them sniff her. But as soon as their back is turned she'll get up and start sniffing them...but then as soon as the other dog turns back facing her, she's immediately on her stomach again. Anyway, we've decided to bring home a little brother for Cassi, so that she will have a companion. One of the criteria was the next furbaby we bring home will have to be either the same size as her full grown or smaller. After doing much search, we found another male yorkie and he'll be about 2.8-3.8 lbs full grown. Cassi is just a little over 1 yrs old and weighs 4.4 lbs.

| So glad Pixel is King. May the little doberman have found a forever home where she can be the Princess. I am a strong believer in pairing like with like. 2 yorkie, 2 siamese, etc. - As their temperamentscan be similar. So maybe someday Pixel can welcome another yorkie or other small breed. Or maybe he does need to be an only dog. Another way for you & him to have interaction might be to find or start a play group for other yorkie owners or one for small breed dogs. Best wishes

| Glad to see you did the right thing. I hope Pixel will be happy again . Hopefully, someday Pixel with have a little friend to play with; one that is small, has a good temperament and that he is comfortable with.Edited to add: I do small dog sitting and some timid dogs that had stayed here actually enjoys playing with other dogs that has the right energy for them and that they are comfortable with. I always give extra care to the more timid ones and try to increase their self-confidence.

| Good to read that you found the right solution...and I tend to agree with keeping toy breeds with toy breeds. More importantly, with a stressed lil' one who's already had the misfortune of being attacked...better to keep him solo for a long while and then maybe down the road you can consider adding a companion of his own size & perhaps breed, too. I have two Yorkies and am fostering another Yorkie. My son has a Beagle and when all the dogs are together...the Yorkies always gravitate towards each other...I'm a believer that Yorkie's definitely like their own! ![]() I also wanted to say, "Pixel" is such a darling name, too!
