| I'm so glad to hear the good news, and that he is coming home. These darn furkids sure can give us a scare sometimes. Hope he continues to get well, and that you have lots of snuggles soon.

| Best wishes coming Milo's way. Glad he's on his way home and doing much better. My first thought was a Nylabone. His symptoms were exactally like Buddy's and diagnosis was also the same, all caused by the Nylabone. If he dosen't chew them than of course it's not. They can give you gray hair can't they? LOL |

| That same thing happened to Maddie a year or more ago. I came up from taking my shower to find she had vomited many times with bright red blood there were even droplets of blood throughout the house. Of course, my vet was out of town...I called him and he told me to get her right to the clinic to another vet. The first thing that vet asked me was if she had gotten into any mouse or rat poison as this was symptoms of that. She hadn't and nothing showed up and he blamed it on stress, since my Mom had recently passed away. I don't believe that stress could do that, but we never did figure out anything different. Maddie was given a medication...I can't remember the name...but what it does is act like a bandaid over the area of the bleed...it helps it heal. She did fine on that med and was back to herself in no time, but I never want to witness anything like that again! Scared me half to death! Get well wishes to Milo! I hope and pray he can pass what's in his stomach...whatever that might be. Hugs to you!

| Did you get to bring him home? I would definitely monitor his poops for the next few to make sure he's able to pass what ever it is he ate. Glad to hear he's doing better |

| Miko threw up frank, bright red blood once...He may have had an ulcer, but very likely that he had gastritis. We gave him carafate to coat his stomach and eliminated what we thought was the cause of this...the food he was eating at the time. He's been great since then!

| Sorry for not posting an update before now. Milo is home and was doing great until last night. When I got home from work he had a tummy ache (I can always hear it rumbling around) I gave him the carafate and 1/4 Pepcid. He was great this morning when we woke up but didn't want chicken, he wanted dog food.......This is a first for Milo! I'm going to continue to watch him for the next three days and document everything that is happening. If he still has signs of not feeling well, I'm going to schedule an appointment with an internist. I want to do everything I can to keep him healthy and happy! Thanks again to all for your support. I love this community! |

| Well...happy to hear an update on your little one. Sorry that he is still having some tummy issues. Keeping a diary of everything that goes in and how it comes out is a wise choice. Your vet will greatly appreciate it...and you never know, maybe something we may not consider to be a problem will raise questions in your vets mind. Hope all goes well for Milo, he's still on my prayer list...I truly do wish him well. Get well and stay well Milo!!!

| I totally missed this thread. I am so very sorry that little Milo has been sick. I know you must have been (and still are) worried beyond reason. I know I would be. I am so glad that Milo had his NapSak to keep him toasty warm and to have the reassuring scents of home while he was hospitalized. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers . |
