| blood in the urine... Hello, I'm visiting the vet today after I noticed some blood in Roxy's urine(14 months old). Has any ever had a similar problem? Can it be bladder infection or stones. She was sterilized at 6 months and has never had any health problems. I am soo worried! |

| Yes, it is very possible she has a UTI or stones. I would recommend taking her to the vet. Please keep us posted. Last edited by bjh; 12-17-2008 at 05:30 AM. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When one of mine had a urinary tract infecton there was blood and she kept licking herself. My vet put her on meds and it cleared it right up. Hopefully you can get her into the vet soon.

| Absolutely.. Have the vet do a urinalysis and urine culture...Make sure they check for crystals, and take note of the *type* of crystals if they do find some. Remember that not all stones show up on x-rays...Ammonium urate stones do not show up on x-rays and ONLY show up on ultrasound, so just b/c nothing shows up on x-ray does not mean there aren't any stones.
