Absolutely.. Have the vet do a urinalysis and urine culture...Make sure they check for crystals, and take note of the *type* of crystals if they do find some.
Remember that not all stones show up on x-rays...Ammonium urate stones do not show up on x-rays and ONLY show up on ultrasound, so just b/c nothing shows up on x-ray does not mean there aren't any stones.
