| I am so sorry your baby is sick. I know that is terrifying. I am sure she is in good hands. Please keep us posted, and we'll be looking for updates.

| OMGosh!! I know exactly how you feel! Deegan has been sick for a little over a month now, and we finally got a diagnosis two days ago which was EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) which means that he body is all of a sudden not digesting and absorbing food in his system. He's lost a little over 2 lbs!!! If not diagnosed in time they can literally starve to death. I don't know if this is the same as what your little one has because it's 2 different names, but I cancertainly understand your fear & frustration. Hugs to you both from Deegan and me. Does anyone know if Pancreatitis & EPI are the same thing??

| Therapy Dog Donating Member | Thank you so much everyone...I just got off the phone with our vet and I have a team of them working with her!! I have a very wonderful vet clini. They said they will also do the TLI and Spec CPL for our baseline. The vet said that the TLI is a great test to do because it tells you why they get it and that will help figure out what to feed her. Ha our strong Izzy...the vet said most little dogs are so scared and shiver..not Izzy. They put the IV in her and put her pink little blankie on her and she is just watching them do their thing at the clinic. They keep picking her up and hugging her. She did only vomit once this morning and they said that when they put the IV in her she vomitted just a tiny bit. But that she is doing well and they all think she is going to pull through this. So keep those thoughts and prayers coming guys they are working. ![]() ![]() We are going to visit her tonight (up until 9pm we can go) and then tomorrow we can go again. I have a feeling we won't get her home until Monday. ![]() We are not out of the woods just yet.

| Wow, that lipase is really high. Pancreatitis would be my first guess then also. It really does sound like she will be okay. ![]() Ellie had pancreatitis and threw up 8 times in a day. I didn't know that was what it was, so she didn't even see a vet. She was acting normal. By the next day she was fine. She was diagnosed by ultrasound a week later. Poor little baby has to spend the weekend there. I would be tempted to move in.

| I'm praying for you & Izzy. I know what a long road to recovery it is. My little man, Simon had pancreatitus & we've been battling it for several months. He is ok now. I give him Pet Cod Liver Oil everyday at the request of the specialist. Since he's been on it, no more flareups. It also brought his Lipase level down. Izzy

| Oh I feel just awful for you and can relate- layla was diagnosed with pancreatits as well after having no symptoms- just a routine blood panel. It's a bit of an adjustment to their food but it's totally do-able. She will be just fine and home before you know it! My vet wanted Layla to go on canned crap with bi products in it and instead I consulted a dog nutritionist and we go on Thursday for blood work to see how things are going. Just know you are not alone. After Layla was diagnosed I realised just how many yorkies on here have this. we are here for you! |
