| Hi, my heart just goes out to you and your family. I know it must be so difficult to have Princess so sick and so far away. I'm so glad they let you put her bear in there with her. You were so smart to think to take it. I prayed for you all today and that she would be strengthened and comforted by the scent of home. Bless her sweet little heart. Keep us posted. ~Cynthia~

| I'm Praying We have a prayer line @ church with over a 1,000 people on it and I called and because some people are funny about animals and don't look at them as the creatures of God that they are I just asked them to pray for someone and I'd rather not give the name but she is a little princess and needs prayers. The God I know loves these little angels as much as we do, I'm sure. These people on YT are sure the best and we all feel the pain you must be going through. I thought of liver shunt immediately since getting to be so prevalant (sp?) in yorkies. It usually shows up in Yorkies by 6 mos. from what I have read and I went back on your bio and one of your threads on June 27th you said that on that day you got her. You didn't say how old she was but I assume that she is young. We have to have more breeders that keep up with the people they have sold their dogs to so they can monitor the health problems. If they send each one a follow up just once a year and when things like this show up the ethical breeder would make sure they never repeated that breeding. I'm sure there are better ideas than this but something has to be done. This isn't helping you all now - when I read your post this morning my heart was crying for you.

| You all are so amazing. I take everything you all write for this post to heart. Here is the latest...I talked to another doctor this afternoon. She said she saw a bigger improvement from when my fiance and I were there last night. All the liver tests were negative--THANK GOD!! So, no liver shunt!! my parents live in Charlotte so they were able to secure a visitation. They took her off oxygen and she seems to be doing alright without it. My mom said she was so cute and they finally got to hold her (Oh how I wish I was my mom). They even got to take her outside. She is not, by any means, running around and back to 100%, but this is a big jump for us! I just want her home with me. I do not want her home until she is 100% though. I want this all to pass. The only thing is that she wont eat. They are trying to give her baby food. Princess has always been the most pickiest eater ever, but she needs to eat though. I might be able to drive down there tomorrow to give her her special bag (she loovvees her bag-her security) and bring some food!!! Here is what I feel happend to Princess...a month ago she started coughing, then got sick (temp and all). Took her to the vet and they gave her clavamox. We had to go out of town 4 days later and my fiance parents left out her clavamox, so we had to throw it away bc it had to be refridg. The vet said we didnt need another bottle bc she was looking fine. So, she never finished her antibiotic. Then, all of a sudden, this same sickness comes back 10x worse and quick. I feel that the 1st illness never actually went away, btu was subsided. The vet said that may be the case if all her other tests came back neg. My breeder has been great through this whole thing. She has been giving me advice and she assured me none of the line has any known defects. I trust her. She calls daily to check and see whats happening. I also feel that the reason Princess is doing a little better is bc of all your prayers and thoughts. Please continue!!!!! I will let everyone know whats going on as I hear it!!!! Thanks again!!!! |
