Hoping Princess is better today. I've been thinking of her often. Did they move her to the other hospital?

Hope that Princess is doing better. I lost my little Max at four months to pnuemonia and it about killed me. Max weighed less than a full pound at the time. These little ones have no reserve of strength. Benni, Gar and I are all praying for your little Princess. Please keep us posted.

Well, I just got back from visiting Princess at the hospital in Charlotte (2 hours away). When we got there last night she was in this little incubator. She looked so dazed. It was so sad bc the iv's are hooked through this little purple boot on her leg. We then went back this morning to meet with one of the doctors and see her again. He said he doesnt want to take her off the oxygen quite yet bc she still is not out the woods. She defintely has pneumonia and is septic (infection of blood). He said she does see a LITTLE improvement though. Then we saw her this morning and she looked so much better than she did the night before. She was sitting up and she drank a little water. I put a little of the food they put out for her on my finger and she licked some of it, which was good. She looked more alert. We saw her again tonight and she still looked good, but she had thrown up right before they let us in. She will be in the hospital for at least a few more days and the doctor is going to run more tests. He wants to find out why she got sick so quickly. He is also testing for liver shunt. One possibility the doctor said, which is what I thought all along, is that she never got better from when she was sick a month ago. We never finished her clavamox bc the vet said if she was acting fine to stop it. Who knows, I have been racking my brain for every possibility for her sickness. All I want is my poor little Princess to get better and come home. I brought her little teddy bear and put it in the incubator so she could have the scent of home. I would never, ever, ever want anyone to go through this. When we were leaving (they only let you stay in there max 5 min.), her precious little eyes followed us until we walked out of her room. So, so sad. Please continue to pray

So sorry For your family and your sweet Princess. You are in our prayers and thoughts daily. We lost Precious on the 4th of July at only 6 1/2 yrs old. Then we had Sassi in the hospital on the 10th with pancreatitis. It is so very sad for all to leave the hospital room knowing they want to come home and you want them to come home. God bless you all and please keep us posted regularly!
