My Yorkie Was Sick All Night - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Audrey-Belle was sick all night and this morning. She vomited several times, about the time I was going to take her to the Dr when they opened she seemed to turn the corner. She is eating, drinking and chasing squirrels again. She's so small and seems so fragile compared to other dogs I have owned I tend to get a little panic stricken. She seems to be her old self again now. Thank God!

I am thankful with you that your baby is healthy again this morning. Wonder what got into her? That so scary when they are so small. Takes such a short time for it to get critical. Hugs, Joanne

I think she might have eaten something in the back yard. She is always sniffing around and many times I see her munch something but I can never see what it is. I always tell her "no eating" but whatever it is she can't seem to help herself. So far she is still doing well, no more illness.

So glad to hear she is feeling better. It is always scarey when they are sick like that, they are so small, you can't help but feel so helpless.

Thanks everyone I get to worked up when she isn't feeling well. I don't know what to expect since we've only had her since the end of June.

Glad to hear she is doing better. My springer has been sick for almost a week. we think he ate part of a racoon that was hit on the road. those dogs just love to munch on that stuff! Yuck!
I am always afraid that Daisy will eat something too, but we keep a pretty close eye on her. Hope you don't have to go through this again.

We have found dead squirrels in our back yard at times but we get to them before she does. I don't know if she'd be interested or not. I'm hoping NOT. Like I said there is no trace of what she's eating when I see her. I wondered if it's squirrel, racoon, possum, bunny or chipmunk poop she's eating off the ground.

My Suzi is the same way... Darn it. She likes to eat other animals poop on the grass. I try to keep her away from the grass now. It is so yucky

Glad your baby is doing better. It IS frightening when they get sick because they are so small.
Their 'life force' is also small and that's what 'panics' me when they get sick.

Saturday we took Muffy out for the day. We drove to my mothers which is about 3 hours away. When we got home that night Muffy was sick the whole night. I took her to my vet and he told me it might have been something going around that dogs can get things people do. My son was there at my moms and he was sick. I think that is where she got it. Im glad your baby is feeling better!!! You should have seen me grab her out of my bed and run for the bathroom all night. I could hear her start to get sick in my bed so I would grab her and run for the bathroom. I had thoughts of when my kids were little. LOL

She did hit the bed spread once too before hubby knew she was sick. I hope she doesn't get sick again any time soon. Glad your baby is better too they should never get sick in my book.
