Kristen-

I'm sorry you had to go through that. The decison is a hard one but don't ever question the"what if's" in life, the decisions comes form the heart and soul. You gave Pebbles the best care and made the right choices.
I actually found my first post on YT, and it was YOUR post and another YT member's under KIDNEY FAILURE why i joined.
I have been battling this since then and like your situation it sure sounds like the same. In and out of the vet since Labor Day she is almost 15. Like you, I want Julz home too. I just want to be with her ALL the time i am taking some time off work here and there so i will have that left with her.
Did you get your Azdoly on time? I hope I do and before it's too late and she has no desire to eat anything.

I thought i wouldn't be posting this for sometime...

Julz had a bad Thursday night that ended up being "the signs" that you all have mentioned. I kept telling her all night while i was holding her, was that she had to get us through till the morning and I promised her that i would take care of her and she wouldn't suffer anymore.
My husband and I spent our last few hours holding her and talking to her. We took a few pictures in the end before heading down to the vet office.

We held her through till the end, it was our last sight of each other, and her last breath of us.
Julz is in a better place this morning and as much as it sadden our soul and breaks our hearts we know this is the way it was suppose to be......

Thanks for all your thoughts and PM's...I will still get on this site, it's very addicting and informative.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you and your husband did everything possible to help Julz. You are right, she is in a better place today, no longer suffering. It was your great love for her that helped her over the bridge.

This is such a heart wrenching thread. May Julz rest in peace and to the OP, I know hard hard this has been on you. I know your heart is heavy with sorrow, I pray the pain will ease with time and you will be left with the loving memories of your lost one.

Im so sorry for your loss. I too lost my baby to kidney failure and it really is horrible. Its so hard but at least there is no more pain for them. They are in a better place. Take it one day at a time and one day you will be able to think about her and remember the good times and the bad will start to fade a little.

I justed wanted to let you all know I've been reading the post and PM's. Thank you all for all your support.
It's really hard not having Julz here in our house, It's not a home without her in it, our lives are forever changed, our daily routines are not the same.
I know she is with us every day looking over us, what i wouldn't do to hold her, smell her have her lick my face one more time.

PS i posted this under RESCUES: but i have 2 cases of k/d canned food, a bottle of Azdoly and other med's and such for kindney failure...anyone in need of it, please PM me all I'm asking is you cover the cost of shipping
