Thanks for alerting us to this. Buster loves his, and I think I'll take the approach of the above-quoted poster, too. I'm sorry the original poster had a bad experience with a rope, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "very dangerous toy." I don't think there's a toy on the market that wouldn't cause a choking hazard if it got too small or a danger to the eyes if it was flung around. Instead, this is a good lesson that a dog needs thoughtful supervision in just about any situation. So, I'm not going to throw his out, and I think doing so would be an overreaction. All the same, I'll be sure to watch for abnormally long string coming from his rope toy. | |

| No Longer a Member | When we evacuated for the hurricane and the dogs were so ill, the vet showed me herself. Looking thru her microscope there was a red fiber. Had to have been from their rope toys. That wasn't the source of their problem that day but now that I read this they will all go in the trash. Thank you so much for posting, and I am so sorry about this beautiful baby. |

| I have one but I don't think Tetley has ever done anything with it other than toss it out of his toybox. In the trash it goes now! |

| My girls play with regular rope toys with no problem. Is that article regarding ONLY the ones with the "dental floss" or whatever it is? I almost bought a couple of those and I'm glad I didn't.
