Buster loves his, and I think I'll take the approach of the above-quoted poster, too. I'm sorry the original poster had a bad experience with a rope, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "very dangerous toy." I don't think there's a toy on the market that wouldn't cause a choking hazard if it got too small or a danger to the eyes if it was flung around. Instead, this is a good lesson that a dog needs thoughtful supervision in just about any situation.

So, I'm not going to throw his out, and I think doing so would be an overreaction. All the same, I'll be sure to watch for abnormally long string coming from his rope toy.
