| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | True, and she doesn't weigh much, she's so pathetic sometimes when she wants to be picked up....the face ....and the whine .....I asked her if she'd like some cheese to go with the wine ! LOL |

She's wound, as long as we keep her on our laps or beside us, she's fine. It's when we have to put her in her pen that she gets upset !So far, so good | |

| So glad the surgery went well for her, I know how you feel, Tarra jump off the sofa and shattered her elbow, so after surgery she had to be crated for 8 weeks, they put screws in it and she was only 15 weeks old, she is great now running, jumping like crazy, but she does still scare me with the jumping. Please keep us updated on Beatrice's improvement. Give that baby big xxoo from my crew. She is adorable

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Well it was 2 weeks yesterday since little Beatrice had her surgery. She's doing great, the best thing now is that she's not trying to run around and jump, we've really worked hard at trying to keep her calm,by walking more slowly throughout the condo. When we come home after being out at work or for whatever reason, we take her out of her crate[she's crying with happiness and wiggling] we pick her up and hold her until she's quiet, then we put her down...and she'll walk. We still have to leave the Elizabethan collar on her when she's in her crate and at night when she's in her bed, just so that we know that she can't chew on her bandage.Other than that she's collar-free.We take her out when it's nice with her leg wrapped in plastic, the hard thing about this is that she gets all excited and wants to play.Sometimes I take her out in her bag,we'll go on the metro[subway] downtown,I took her to work with me last Friday for a couple of hours. On October 28th we take her back to the vet and they will remove her bandage and take out her stiches. They will x-ray her at this time to see how things are healing. If everything is o.k. we will take her home and try keeping her quiet for another 4 weeks.I can't wait to give her a bath, I think it's been 3 1/2 weeks now....she's smelling a bit doggy lol She's off all pain medication and anti-inflamatories,the only thing she's on now are probiotics to replace the flora that she lost from the antibiotics that she was on for her skin infection back in August.I suppose that this is why she's not running and jumping,it probably hurts a bit. Also, I find she's sleeping or a least lying down alot more since she finished the meds. Anyway,I'll post another progress report closer to "bandage removal time" |

| Great to hear that Beatrice is being such a good little patient. It is trying on everyone, I know, but it's so important for her to heal properly. It seems the 8 weeks will never end but it finally does and she should be good as new! Best wishes for Beatrice's continued recovery. |

| [QUOTE=Mom to Hot Rod;2259605] Thank goodness a member told me to try aluminum foil--it's been working! Granted, my living room looks like a spaceship but at least I don't have to worry about a hurt puppy. What do you do with the aluminum foil for ![]() Glad to Beatrice is doing just fine. The real work comes when that cast gets off. Somehow I feel you will still be carrying her around like the princess she is |

| Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | thank-you so much, it does seem tha the closer we get to the 8 weeks being over the faster the time is going.I think we are just adapting to it all.I'm sure it's harder on us than it is on her. |
