Thank you I will have a sleepnes night tonight. Doctor says he's doing good. I have decided against de-clawing done research online and ugh that is terrible. So I will have to think and ask the vet so other ideas what to do since the cat is not an outside cat. Thank you so much for writing and thinking of Chewy.

| Thank you so much, doctor says he doing fine. I just stopped by an hour ago and dropped off his blanket. I did not see him because it would be to hard on him. I guess he keeps crying for me which I knew would happen. I will not sleep tonight.

| Don't beat yourself up over this...it's not your fault. Chewy, bless his heart just wanted to play...Sugar didn't. I have had cats and dogs live together indoors, usually the dog learns very quickly that the cat is boss and means business. I pray his little eye will be just fine...it may very well be scarred, but hopefully he will retain most of his vision. The vets will watch for and treat any infection that may occur. I'll say a prayer that he will heal from this injury and that he has learned a tough lesson. Hugs to you, I know you feel bad and you're missing Chewy...but they must watch him and treat him...leaving him there under medical care was the right thing to do.

| Oh My! I am so sorry to hear what happened to your baby! My cat still acts like a tiny kitten and plays rough. She sometimes goes after the dogs playfully in an ambush and I almost had to have her declawed. But I came accross these awesome nail caps that glue on and stay on pretty good. It prevents them from scratching your dogs, kids, furniture etc... Its called softpaws?? I got pastel pink! I hope for a quick recovery... |

| I see others have already brought up the nail caps. I also did research on declaw and it wasnt for me. At least with the caps its not a permanent thing and doesnt hurt her one bit. I find they last a long time, at least a month for me. Which is so worth the $18 i paid, which i paid a little more to get the color i wanted. The caps were so easy to put on, i just trimmed the ends of her nails and put the glue inside the cap and slide it on and held it for a few secons and voila! I would def look into that rather than rehoming. Best of luck! |

| Chewy update? You have both been in my prayers. I wouldn't want to be separated from my baby for the night either. Hopefully you were both finally able to get some rest. Let us know how he is doing!

| How is little Chewy doing? You know, it's funny, we were just contimplating getting a cat for the family. Now I am not so sure it is a good idea. Poor Chewy. As a fellow Yorkie Mommy, I can imagine the heartache you are going through!
