| Prayers for Sugar... We have a golden retriever Sugar who is 10 yrs old. I am taking her this afternoon to Va. Tech to see about her eye. Our vet told me on Friday that she thought she has glacuoma, and they need to see what is/or has caused it. Worst case scenario could be a tumor behind the eye. Our vet put Sugar on 2 different eye drops, and prednisone. I knew something was wrong with Sugar on Thursday night, when she kept barking at Brady(our yorkie), when he wouldn't even be near her, and she kept closing that one eye, and would just lay around. I dread the appointment, and I have to go alone, and I just want some good thoughts and prayers for Sugar, that it isn't as bad as we think it is. I haven't told the kids how bad it could be, because I don't want to upset them anymore than necessary. Thanks......Sheri |

| I will say a prayer for Sugar. My childhood dog - who is 13 now and still lives at home with my mum - had some cancerous tumours removed quite recently and has thankfully made a full recovery. I hope that the vet appointment goes well and I wish you, your family, and Sugar all the best. xxx

| update on Sugar I was at Virginia Tech Vet School for over 4 hours today with Sugar, and the news isn't good. She has a mass behind her right eye, and we take her back on Wed. for pre-op work, and xrays of her major organs to make sure nothing has spread there, and then they will operate on her Thursday, and take her eye out. After the tests today they determined she is blind in that eye, and with removing it because of the tumor, there will be less chance of it spreading. They will then put in an artificial eye, and sew her eyelids together. The kids are really upset, and we've tried to get them to understand for the health of Sugar, this has to be done. I am so mentally exhausted after today, I just don't know which way to turn. Thank you all for your prayers. Sheri |

| Oh, Sheri, I am so terribly sorry. We had a Golden years ago and he was such a sweetheart. Please give Sugar hugs from us and know that we will be praying for her. God bless you and your family.

| Thanks for the prayers........they do work. They are doing surgery tomorrow to remove the eye, after doing all the tests today. They thought at one point today that she had a tumor around her heart. After doing the electrocardiagram, they determined no, she didn't have one. Thanks again everyone, Sheri. |

| Update on Sugar Brought Sugar home from the hospital last night. Good spirits, very swollen and very bruised. She hates the ecollar, running into everything. Hubby slept with her in the den last night. She has her stitches in for 2 weeks, and by then the swelling should be down. I plan to take some pictures later. I hope to upload some of Sugar(if anyone wants to see what was done), and some of Brady (our yorkie). I haven't been able to upload any since we have gotten Brady, since he chewed up the cord that connects my camera to the computer. I did pick up a new cord yesterday!! Thanks for everyone that prayed and kept Sugar in their prayers. Sheri |

| Poor Sugar! But you know, dogs always seem to have this wonderful gift of living in the moment. I'm sure she'll adjust much better than any of us would if we were in that situation! |
