| Has she been eating regularly? Does this happen after a long time of not eating or only a little while after eating? What blood work are they doing?

| I'm glad you are taking Kati to your vet. He will be able to tell a lot from bloodwork. Please keep us posted. |

| Bloodwork would be the first thing I would suggest, so that's a very good thing your vets are doing that. They will be able to tell if there's an infection, liver, kidney, etc. problems...

Senior Yorkie Talker | thank you for all your help we went to the vet and she checked her over then took an x-ray ..she has an enlarged liver and they think she has cushings ...she put her on an antibiotic and ,phenabarbitol because i noticed her trembling a while back and about a year ago she had a full blown seizure. she also had little pimples on her belly last week and we are still treating that..she chewed herself almost raw, but we have that under control....i swear, when one thing goes wrong a few more seem to follow.lol to all of you kati and karen |

| Good Luck, sure hate to hear your outcome at the vet. But hope things get worked out. When does she go back to see if her meds are working?

| Oh, dear. Kati is an older gal like my Lady, right? I'm so sorry your vet thinks it's Cushings. Are you going to treat it? It's hard when they get older and so many health issues start cropping up. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | i am not sure it is cushings..what do you know about this disease and treatment..thank you for your concern lol karen and kati. another vet took a look at her and said she doesn't look like cushings symptoms..i am confused.. |

Sorry for so many questions, but there are a lot of members on here that can give you great advice, but they need more information... I really hope it isn't too serious!

Has a bile acid test been done? How does she feel about eating (loves to, hates to)? Does she shake after eating? What food is she on right now? Has she ever had bladder problems/UTIs? Is there any hair loss? Increased thirst?

Senior Yorkie Talker | kati and her shaking and possible diagnosis of cushings here is the latest..the vet decided to take an x-ray instead of doing blood work..i was so shook up i didn't question what the vet was doing or not doing..to answer a few of the questions all of you are asking..she is a very fussy eater some days i have to hand feed her..she was eating boiled chicken and rice but she gets tired of everything and worries me when she won't eat..now the vet wants her to eat hills bg diet and of course she won't eat it.I give her baby rice cereal mixed with pedailite and a little sugar when this non eating happens and it seems to perk her up enough to get her to eat something be it peas.carrots kidney beans(all canned).also when she is shaking i have used karyo syrup to make sure she is not hypoglycemic..this sometimes helps but not always...you also asked why the second vet did not think it was cushings..because she really dosen't. display any of the outward signs like hair loss or pot belly...i tell you i feel like i don't know what to do first for her. this sounds like i am rambeling on and on..old dogs with so many health issues..i really appreciate all of your help..lol karen and kati. |

| Poor girl I hope she starts doing better. Also, if it were me, I would have bloodwork run.
