Dogs are quick to associate what they are doing with pain, so the leg lift might not happen until he's feeling better again. It's almost like he'd rather not pee, but he's just giving in to the urge. Having had both kidney and blatter stones, I can tell you it's really painful, and even after they pass the blatter has spasms, making urinating extreemly painful. Glad he poo'd, and hope he recovers quickly, all your stories and pictures have made so many of us love him as our own.

| I am just seeing this thread about little Steddy. I am so happy he is doing so well now. I know you have been frantic. I will say a prayer that he will be totally fine and no surgery will be necessary. Good job Steddy!!!

| It's amazing how much a little poop can get so many people all excited . Way to go, li'l buddy. I know I'll rest easier tonite knowing the "poop happenes". As for the peeing - Remi lifted his leg before he was fixed. After he was fixed, he started squating and semi-squating(almost standing). I think it was because he was super-glued back together and it pulled his skin to lift his leg. Now he does all three, but never hits anything when he lifts his leg because he doesn't squirt - it just dribbles. Maybe, with all the things they were doing to poor little Steddy, his winky parts are still sore and standing is far less painful than lifting. I hope that's all it is. We're still praying for you, Steddy. Get better quick!

| I agree with the others that maybe the UTI has made him have to concentrate a little more to pee and so he's not lifting his leg. So glad he's pooping and peeing a little. He's been on my mind. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and he'll start peeing as normal.

| Yay for poop! I feel so bad that he can't pee well. I know how bad it feels to need to pee badly..it's aweful. Can they do an ultrasound to see if it's a stone?

| I am so sorry to hear this. I will pray for Stedman, you and your family. I can't even imagine how you are feeling, I just hope the YT support will help you feel a little better. Hopefully Stedman will get a little ease from the pain so he can rest tonight for tomorrow. Please update us with the results from the Vets. Hang in there!
