| I pray that you are taking the puppy back to the vets. Is the puppy's neck still flopping around? I hope you get some answers today. (((hugs))) |

Went to the vet today, ( not the same one) and they said her lungs are clear ( heard the same thing last time) watch for milky colored fluid from the nose. Said nothing seems broken. I heard all this last time. The vet offered no real answers though did offer antibiotics. I asked if she needed them and he said he did't see any infection but if it would make me feel any better.... I declined them. If she does not have a infection I don't need to give them to her. She seems a little stronger through today. Not nearly as much yawning and no real gasping. She was active for a few moments each time I picked her up. She would turn her head or push at my hand. This is much better than what I have been seeing. I am much more hopefully tonight but I will still keep close watch. If she is not 100% monday I will take her for x rays. If she gets any worse from what she is right now, (like starts gasping again etc) I will take her to the emergency vet to have x rays and to have her put in the oxygen box. I am still up for suggestions. I will do anything I need to to make sure she gets better. I am frustrated with the lack of concern from the vets. I wish one of them would tell me. do X Y X. Do this and that test. Or we CAN do this.

| Bless your heart, I know it must be tearing you up not knowing what is wrong with your baby. I am just worried that she could have a neck injury like Blue Boy Barber had, atlanto axial subluxation, or a ruptured diaphragm. These would only show up on an x-ray. Is she nursing on her own or are you having to bottle feed her? I pray your baby will continue to improve. Please keep us updated on how she is doing. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I just saw this. I hope to hear some positive news soon. Is this a singleton puppy? I definitely would layer towels and use the heating on low; baby is too young to regulate their temperature. |

I may have them do the xrays anyway just so I know. However, she is nursing on her own. Not much else has changed. Still week but really seems quite a bit better. I am thinking she may truly have been jumped on and bruised inside. it's been 5 days but there is improvement.

She is a singleton. Gracie doesnt do well with towels. She uses anything she can get her teeth on to cover the baby. She bunches things on top of her and then lays on what she used to cover her. I also thought she was to cold so I put the heating pad back under the basket to help keep her warm. I thought about using a space heater on low but I didn't want to make babies nose to dry.

| I just want to add my thoughts and prayers for your little one. I'm sorry this has you terribly worried and it seems like no one really knows what's wrong. I'd continue giving the nutra drops...I know you've said she's feeding...but she is also not gaining weight...is it possible mom doesn't have enough milk? Maybe you should supplement with bottle feeding. I've never had pups so I'm sorry I'm not much help, but I can pray...

| I have a litter that is now 2 weeks old. The biggest one was 5.9 oz. at birth and is now 14 ounces. I know you would like to see a weight gain but at least she's eating, breathing better and not losing weight. She seems to be on track with mine as far as weight gain since birth. I'm sorry you didn't get any better answers from the vet but at least she's improving overall and that's a good thing. Look forward to any updates and hope your baby shows continued improvement. |

| I hate to say it but sometimes Vets just try to make us feel better. I'm sure they need to see if this puppy is strong enough to make it on its own. Since they can't find anything wrong. Hopefully you will have some good news for us soon. Keep your head up and know we are pulling for you and if you need to talk we are here for you. Good Luck.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I will pray for your baby but the vet is correct that they are just to small and there is not much that can be done unless they fight their way and get bigger. I have had it both ways. One lived and one didn't. I am sure you are doing all you can so hopefully this baby will fight hard and make it!
