				 | haha!!! its my fault. i am going to be much better about leaving my purse now. i have to remember she is like a baby, sometimes i just throw my purse on the bed and forget she will go straight to it. on a different note..... i hate er vets. i had the best er vet when bella was sick in march but i didnt know how much time i had to get her there so i just went to this other one i have been to once before. it was really small and i felt like they were just trying to take my money. the tech was infuriating. she said she had only seen 2 cases of dogs who survived eating gum!!! so i needed to leave her!!! what??? ahhh sorry ....had to vent! hehe

				 | I'm so glad Bella is feeling better!! Many years ago my first Yorkie, Molly (RIP) got up on a chair and took a whole plenty pack of Juicy Fruit gum out of my purse, that was on the kitchen table. She then took it back to her whelping box and proceeded to eat the whole pack and give it to her pups!! This was all in about 5 minutes when I was outside watering the plants!! It wasn't sugar free gum but I was still frantic because they even ate the aluminum wrappers and they were about 5 weeks old!! The vet just told me to watch them to make sure that they weren't lethargic and to watch their poop the next day. The next day, they had gum poop!! It would come out as poop and then a big piece of gum!! These yorkies sure do make us worry sometimes!!

				 | I am glad Bella is ok My Suzi eats everything in site too... EVEn if it is not in site, she finds it somehow. AS soon as my teenaged son has his bedroom door open she is in there, pulling out everything, and especially any kind of wrapper. Then we have to try and get it away from her, it is so scary as to what she might find, and get hurt from. NOT to mentioned these little guys are so fast and clever... Things happen in the bling of an eye. |

				 | i know...thats why i have decided its just better to not have certain things in the house. like i have the splenda put away...im not longer buying gum....at least sugar free im just leaving it in my car if i must have it. im not a big chocolate person so i hardly ever have that in the house....and i dont buy grapes or raisins...i know i sound crazy but i just cant have her get ahold of anything. and you never know when she will eat something that falls on the ground....i simply cant afford all the vets bills but i cant deny her care if she needs it. so i have to be extra careful from now on!!!

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | Glad Bella is doing better. I have on several occassions opted to take my sick dog home from the er when they wanted to keep them.I live 7 minutes away and knew I could get then there quickly if needed. I knew they would be less stressed at home. I agree some er vets wnat to run every test and then some at triple the cost.

				 | Checking in to see how Bella was doing and glad to see she's going to be fine. So relieved for both of you. We definitely live and learn from our sweeties. Nice to have this site to turn to with questions and concerns. |

				 | Gosh, Joy! I just saw this and am so glad that Bella is okay! What a scare! I chew Eclipse gum and I thought that was okay...it didn't have that ingredient in it that is bad for dogs, but now I'm wondering if it IS okay! I know Libby got into some once! Libby gets into everything! LOL Hugs to you!
