| Black spots worsening!! Help My Deucy has the black spots again ALL OVER his little belly and genital area. They are everywhere. I took him to another Vet that has raised yorkies for 30 years and she said she doesn't know what it is. She said it's NOT Staph as they bumps have no postules. I can scrape it off with my nail but, it is very hard to do and leaves a terrible red place that could get infected. HAS ANYBODY ELSE had this??????

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My pom has those but she is older and they were bacterial infections from her lower immune system due to her Cushing's disease. At first they thought it was thyroid. They scrape off and are sort of oily and underneath they are red and sore looking. They put her on antibiotic cream when she had a few and when she had a lot they put her on a oral antibiotic. Not sure if that's what they are. Hope you can get it cleared up.

| I'm sorry about your Deucy. Do you have a Vet Dermotologist in your area? I took my furbaby several times to my regular vet with skin problems, but it took a trip to the Vet Dermotologist to diagnosis her problem and get her on medicine.

| spots It is ususally from urine and dirt that gets on the belly area...in a female it is usually from hormones, like little specks of pigment...use Chlorhexaderm shampoo ...all over and then just his belly daily for a few times..then weekly. |

| But, Deucy is never around any dirt. He only goes outside with me on a leash to pee and poo and then back in..no laying around in the grass or anything. I will take a photo and post here soon. I still think it is something I am giving him...Bran Flakes? as a small treat sometimes...or Cheerios? I don't know.. They don't seem to bother him much but, when I start picking at them, he starts licking them. Photos coming.

| My male gets them also, and the females. The vet said they are a type of yeast growth and if I use alcohol daily on their belly, or the liquid NP27 for athletes foot on them it clears up pretty quick and will wash off when I bathe them. It does not harm them, but I was told it develops in the warm moist areas on them, usually around the genitals. |

| My baby little black spots too... Any idea how to get ride of them? I just noticed them increasing in quantity yesterday. I've been trying to look at them with a little hand held micro-scope (magnifies @ 100x's love-it). She wouldn't stay still long enough for me to focus in on them though. So I will try again when she is sleeping. They are all over her belly, armpits and little potty area. She was just spayed a month ago and there was not one spot on her belly. Each day, it seems to be increasing be the doze... especially on her incision scar. What is this???????????? She also is going through a very bad allergy issue, but we have always known of this issue. She is going to be 5yrs old next week (Aug 5) and she has always had bad allergy problems every time she is moved to a new home. Not to worry... This IS her very last home! My husband remarked, that I would probably get ride of him, before her... and then laughed (nervously). But, I don't see what's so funny hehehe anyway... We started her on allergy pills every 8 hours 2 weeks ago. I wish I could help her! Hey, has anyone ever heard of "Greenies - Pill Pockets?" I L O V E T H E M They are soft so I can cut them up into three pieces and wrap a tiny pill into each one. Then I roll up a little chicken ball. Lola knows when it's "Medication!!! Time!!!" She comes runnnnnning even at 6am.

No Longer a Member | Gizmo has three of these black spots that are being described as looking like beauty marks. I just thought it was something to do with age. There is nothing to scrape off tho, Just looks like a discoloration in the skin. Am interested in seeing other's pictures, now I'm kind of worried. |
