| New to Forum! Clicking Noise with throat Hello everyone! I am new to the forum, I've been reading through it for a week now and just recently joined. A lot of great information on here! I have a question, my 15-wk old yorkiepoo Gabby (4 lbs), two weeks ago started to making a clicking noise when breathing hard/panting. It does not seem like the reverse sneeze or a sympton of a collapsing trachea, at least from what I've read on here. No honking, no coughing. She seems to breathe just fine, no problems. But every once in awhile, mostly at night and usually after a walk, she makes this clicking noise while breathing. The noise is hard to explain, but a noise you could make by clicking your tounge againist the roof of your mouth. Does this make sense? When it first started happening, I switched from a collar to a harness and that seemed to help lessen it, now I just hear it few times. Because she seems to being doing well, I haven't taken her to the vet. I am taking her next week for her rabbies shot and was going to ask them about it then, but not sure if they can do anything about it, especially if she is not making the noise then for them to hear. Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks! |

| Is it loud enough to be heard on video that you could bring to show the vet? If she is anything like mine, when you want them to do it they never do. Welcome to YT!

| Good idea, I can give that a try. Do you have similar problems with yours making this noise? |

| Hope the clicking sound turns out to be nothing serious.

| Mine does it too once in a while. Its not collapsed trachea nor reverse sneezing. Pao does it only when he is outside walking and panting...I think it is part of panting hard? Not too sure though. Tried to get a video on it, difficult though coz you only hear the wind.

| The clicking noise is quite normal. I've had dogs who make the same sound, but only when panting. |
