Im happy to report the hives are GONE She has had 2 nights of itchy free sleep all night long!!! Wednesday night I had to give her benadryl to help her sleep but last night NOTHING just her pill a few hours before bed and she slept great!!! Im still a lil on edge about it and every time either of them scratch I find myself flipping them over and doing a full body inspection...I know I need to stop that but everyday I am starting to feel better about it. Just cross fingers its really gone for good and NO MORE ITCHIES

Oh that is good new's. Finger's crossed it's over. However, I can imagine you still going nut's wondering why it happened and what could have caused it. I know I am. I always like an answer to things so I can prevent them from happening again. I guess somethings have no answer. As long as it's passed that's what's important I guess.

Try looking at the ingredients in her food, although I am sure you have already done this. My daughter's cat had a similar condition and she was constantly visiting the vet for steroid, etc. shots. She changed to a completely holistic kibble and cooks the rest of her meats, chicken, etc. and the cat is fine. No hives, no scratching, no misery. Hope you find the answer soon!

Try putting her on holistic kibble. I use Eagle Pack food. My daughter's cat had a similar condition and was cured when put on strictly home cooking and holistic feed. The cat was allergic to the preservitives. Today no hives, no itching and no misery! Hope you find the remedy soon!

im in the same boat!! i switched foods too and still kiele is biting her legs and now she has weird sores all over her. Her eyes are all puffy and she scratches them so bad that they have scratches around them. So she is off to the vet tuesday again. I think they will give her steroid pills. Last time we just did a cream rinse, fish oil, and changed foods. so this time im sure the vet will do the steroids. Is there a brand i should watch out for??? like a bad one?
