Just got back form the vet with Tatum - question?

OMG, I know it Mimi I am so sick of all this and just feel soooo incredibly sorry for her She just doesn't deserve to go through everything that she has in her short little life, it isn't fair It seems like every other month, there is something with her. I just hate it!

Your right, Yorkies are very prone to ear infections and so are Cocker Spaniels (and of course many other breeds as well). We had a Cocker Spaniel for years (she passed away in January of '06) and she always, always had something going on with her ears it seemed This is a first for Tatum. I just hope that she doesn't get these often like my Cocker did. Geez, they are just awful!

Thank you so much sweetie Yes, this Cucumber Melon ear cleaner smells soooooo good, I love this stuff LOL. Well, the scent any way It smells just like a juicy watermelon to me There is probably a better ear cleaner out there though, like the one that Jodie said she uses or the homemade one that someone else suggested. But, since I did buy a whole bottle of this stuff, I had better use it up first. Tatum doesn't really mind it either, actually...I think it feels soothing to her However, her left ear was the worst and she does jump a little bit when I go to put the cleaner and the gel medication in that ear My poor baby

P.S. - We have to use it right after her bath too

Oh my gosh I am so sorry girl! An ear infection every 2 months...my goodness! That is SO awful and I would definitely be extremely frustrated as well. Your poor baby!! I hope and pray that this doesn't happen with Tatum. My gosh, she has dealt with ENOUGH in her life Having constant ear infections would just take the cake!

Have you every been to another vet to get a second opinion on your baby about her ears? Maybe another vet would be able to pinpoint the problem? I hope that you are able to figure out what is going on soon....your poor little one must be so miserable with an ear infection every 2 months!

Thank you Carol, you are always such a sweetheart! So far, the meds seem to be working....well, they are keeping her from scratching the heck out of her ear anyway. I just hope and pray that they are clearing up the INFECTION The vet wants to see her again in 2 weeks so I will keep everyone posted on how she is doing Big hugs to you and Buddy!

Actually it is my big boy Pd who gets the ear infections, I would die if it was Lily because even though she is calm and sweet about most things she hates it if you try and touch her ears. I have taken Pd to many vets over the years for his ears and they all just try different meds. I had one vet say he may have a dip in his ear canal that holds moisture and the only way to cure it would be surgery but at his age it is out of the question. I hope your baby is feeling better.

I'm so aweful Brooke and I'm sorry! I was reading about Tatum and worrying about her ears and read what Jodi uses and totally forgot to post my well wishes for little Tate!!!!!!!!!
