| Waiting for Results on Stewie Stewie was convulsing yesterday and I took him to the vet. It was my first time seeing her, but she was very careful and knowledgable. Anyway, she thinks that he may have a liver shunt. Can you believe it? He's three and a half years old and we are just noticing this now?? If it is a shunt, I am hoping it is not far progressed by now. I am sick to my stomach over it. I am supposed to get the results today.

| I am so sorry to hear this. There's a liver shunt and MVD group on yahoo groups that can give you guidance. We have had dogs up to 7 and 8 years old be diagnosed with liver shunt, so it's not uncommon. What tests will they be doing to find out?
