| ![]() I just read this...hope he's doing well now. Is he? I read where you said they can't be conscious while having a seizure, is this true? Because I've wondered all along if Winston was epileptic or hypoglycemic because he has episodes that I call seizures...but he's not unconscious...he may not be aware of what's happening but he's definitely awake. Is Stewie's new food helping?

| ![]() I am glad to hear your baby is OK! My Rico has had 4 similar episodes this year. All of his tests are normal. He is conscious the whole time and responds (he can follow you with eyes, move his ears up and down when you make noise). His head shakes, his front paws will stiffen. They last about 45 seconds. He has no after effects. Matter of fact he jumps up immediately and wants to play as if nothing happened at all. I have doubts that it is a real seizure. I recently seen something on the net about chinook seizures or paroxysmal dyskinesias. Has anyone ever heard of this? Also, I have kept a journal of his episodes and each time he has had heartgard 7-10 days prior to the "seizures". |
