Tink is really sick again.

Barb said Tink did very well today. Ate some more food out of her hand, and is trying very hard to move her front legs. She is holding her head up better and better. Barb said she really tbelieves Tink knows she has to work really hard to get better. She hasn't gained any weight back yet, but she will, I'm sure. Her blood work came back today and the vet said she is stable on her meds and her liver function has plateaued. So, that's very good. Now she has a chance to start moving forward instead of treading water!

Thank you everyone for posting such uplifting messages and for remembering us and being our "cheer leading section." We really (well I really) lean on you alot these days. Thanks so much for being there for us.

I'm so glad her tests came back so good !! Girl - you hang in there...She sounds like she's in very caring hands and does have a long road ahead but look how far she came !! I'm so happy for you and you PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOU TOO during all this.....I wish I could say something to make it all better but you have my prayers and high hopes for little Tink - and for you too - BIG HUGS !!!!!!

I'm sorry you didn't get to see Tink yesterday, hopefully you were able to see her today. Is it silly that you miss her that much? I think it would be silly if you didn't They ARE our babies! They depend on us and need us and give us unconditional love. How could we not love them?

I try to check on Tink everyday. She has touched a special place in my heart.

Sorry you miss your little baby so much. I understand that. I guess we don't realize how much we love these little critters till we don't have them around us.

I'm so glad to hear she is doing a bit better! Every day is one step closer. Hey - you and Tink can learn to walk again together. You probably don't think that's funny....

Thanks Vi for the pep talk. and the rest of you too who are helping me with this. Barb and Peter are wonderful people and really care about my Tinkerbrat. I've known peter in a professional capacity for many years. It's so great of him and Barb to offer to help Tink get well while I'm not able to help her.

I had my final visit with the surgeons and the hospital staff today! I got my one last chance to back out and wait for a few more months. I have until Friday to make up my mind. but it took me so long to make the original decision, that I really don't want to postpone it any longer, but on the other hand, it is soooo tempting. The surgeon is really worried about infection with my lovely "extenuating circumstances". I wasn't even thinking about it until he told me how concerned he is. Great! Now I have something else to think about. But NO, I won't think about it. God can handle that for me. I know He will. Who's gonna take Tink out to potty if I can't walk? So see, it will all be good. What was I fussin' about?! HEY, here's a smilie of Tink in a month or two - whada ya think? Here's what I think!

I was so late tonight because I was at hospital this afternoon and then to see Tink later and then to church to run sound for the missionary speaker who's here from Haiti and the program ran late - very late. But we had a grand evening!

No, I don't think you should back out either. Just my humble, uninformed decision. Don't you think the drs. tell us the worst outcomes to cover their butts? Of course it does help to make an informed decision, but sometimes it can be a bit scary to think of all the things that could happen. (but won't to you. )

Ummm, you saw Tink today but you didn't say how she is doing. I'm assuming the same as yesterday, then?????
