My vet told me to watch for swelling at the injection site.... But, I would think that after two weeks it would have gone away. Maybe because Yorkie's are so little they have more of a reaction. The vet told me to call if the lump did not go away after a few days.

Pebbles lump took a while to go away, maybe 2 months, but it got smaller each day. Bam Bam just got his rabies shot last week--he turned 5 months yesterday. We had to wait to give him the rabies because he was too little before. He is now 1.8 pounds. I was completely expecting a lump but he didnt make a sound at all when he got the injection and he has no lump at all! I am so surprised but he is sure a little trooper

Oh girl I din't know, but glad that she is better, I think Phoebe and Shayna got a little one and I called the vet they said that some dog get that, none of them have it now

Thanks for the comments. I didn't get to take her to the vet, he had to go out of town, so they told me to watch it for a week or so and if it's still there, just holler at them and they will get her in. She has had no changes in attitude (lolol), no pain when you touch it or anything. They seem to agree with the rabies shot idea too. Possibly some kind of grisle (spelling) or something. It's just under the skin so trying to keep the worry down, but from what I read from you guys, makes me feel better. It really helps!!! Great to see I'm not the only one out there CRAZY about Yorkies!!!

my girl had her last set of shot on Tuesday and she got a lump on Thursday...I got her checked and they told me to put a warm compress on it and give her the medication they prescribed. It is probably the same case for you, I highly doubt it's cancer so don't worry too much.

My Mayzie had this exact thing happen after shots. I took her back for a check up and he put my mind at ease and told me what it was and it was indeed from the vaccine.

I took our dog once to the vet to have that same problem checked. He had a big lump on his thigh. Iwas so scared thinking it was a tumor. As soon as the vet felt it she told me not to worry that it was because of a vaccines she had given him before. It took like 3-4 weeks but it did go down.

Did the vet give you medication for your dog? Just wondering because y dog's lump is gone. However, I am still finishing up the medication the vet insisted that my dog needs, which I suspect is just a way so they can make more money. It's because I asked if I can just get it online because you just have to get approval from the vet with these sites that sell medications. She said I can't and insisted I get it and I later looked online. I paid TWICE what online charges! So I'm just wondering if your vet made you give your dog medication for the lump.

Ella has a lump on her back and it appeared right after her first shots last year. It was larger right after than shots, but it's gotten smaller since then. It is still there though. Her dad also has one on his back. IDK why, if no one on here knows i'll be asking my vet when Ella goes back in Feb.
