Poor baby! Hello all! My one year old Yorkie, Rocky, is acting really weird. Recently my brother has come to stay with me for a month and he brought his mixed dog with him. Since the dog arrived, Rocky has been frantic non-stop. At first it was just humping each other. My husband and I figured it was just a phase, but then about a week after the dog got here, I found red spots around Rocky's penis. He seemed to be bothered by them because he kept licking himself. Now, a week after the spots appeared, he has a constant small erection and his penis is bloodshot red with small blood spots. I am keeping the dogs completely away from eachother, but I would like to know what to do. What seemed like the dogs getting used to eachother is really hurting my baby. Please help! Thanks in advance for the help! We will be waiting for any responses. Rocky's mom

Continuation I know that this subject seems pretty weird, but i am REALLY concerned and I see that people are looking at the post but not replying. Please, if you have any clue as to what this is, let me know. I love this site and I have gotten amazing advice here in the past. I was afraid to post it due to the kind of subject, but i figured some of you might really be able to help! Thanks again!

| I think that it's such a specific problem (but kudos to you for posting detailed information the first time ) that people don't have an answer for you. Nope, me either. In my opinion, the humping is fairly normal (albeit unmannerly) dominant behavior. But your other issues are very specific and I don't have any experience with that. Do you think he is licking the area because of the spots, or do you think his licking the area has caused the spots? I will be watching this thread for other replies though.

the licking has been due to the spots, as it wasnt there before. And yea, i am going to take him to the vet as soon as possible. The dogs are apart now and will be until the vet tells me otherwise. Thanks! sincerely!!! thanks you!

Is his penis out of the shaft? You should not see the penis itself because the shaft should be covering it. If his penis is out of the shaft then that means he most likely has hair caught up in the skin of the shaft and you have to make sure the skin is pulled out to cover the penis.

Yes, it was out for quite some time and he seemed to be very bothered by it because we would not let me see what wrong and when i picked him up he cried a bit. I tried to pull the skin over, but i was not sure if that would hurt im more, finally after about 2 hours, it had gone. I was relieved but still very worried. I have called the vet and will be taking him in a bit today. Thanks you all for your advice. And I sure hope my baby is ok. Thanks again.

I imagine it was painful. You should never let the penis be expose for a length of time because it will dry out and cause serious problems. I hope he gets better soon. You have to watch these little stinkers so close.
