| rumble in the tummy i ran out of food and decided to use up some other food we had from a while bake... can't remember what it was. but they hadn't finished it when i noticed a horrible smell coming from both Walker and Troy. so i finally put 2 and 2 together and realized it was the food giving them gas. i was brushing Troy and saw that her stomach looked very swollen. the first thing i thought was she can't be pregnant. so as i was sitting there rubbing her stomach i kept hearing this little squeak. i thought that was strange. so i got close and i could hear her tummy just rumbling. and as i rubbed it she kept tootin. and needless to say i had to stop cause it was foul. so my question is ... is there something i can give them for gas/ bloating/upset stomach? oh i already threw that food out and replaced it today with what i normally give them Royal Canine 27 the one for yorkies. is that ok? i was giving them Canidid but Troy wouldn't eat it. thanks

That happens to Ellie (bloating and discomfort) when she gets into another dog's food. It lasts a few days. I would google gastric dilatation-volvulus. It is very rare in Yorkies and not a major cause for concern now, but with the bloating I would watch for any odd symptoms...

| ok... i looked it up and shes not acting as if anything is wrong. and they have been eating this food for a month and a half. so i would think if it was gastric dilatation-volvulus then would it have shown sooner? i changed her food and i no longer hear the rumble... so i'm thinking she was just hungry and wanted her old food back. cause when i changed it she eat like she hadn't eaten in months (she has a continuous feeder) hubby came home last night and asked if she was fat. i'm beginning to think that she might be preggers. i kept Walker away from her during her last heat (so i thought) but i did kind of miss it cause i didn't notice any blood. i went out of town and had them in a x-Pen together... and then i noticed the blood when i got back. i was only gone for 2 days and they were checked on but not by anyone who would have noticed that. i thought she was gonna be one of those females that had their heat every 8 months like her first one but she switched up on me and had one six months after her first one. i don't know. guess i better head over to the breeding section and ask questions!!

Okay, I thought that you had only given her this other food a few times and she bloated. If she has had it for over a month, she will be fine. What day did your male and female possibly tie on? How old are your dogs?
