| YAYYY.... sort of. I called the vet this morning. She had good (ish) news! He did not throw up over night, and apparently he's quite a bit happier. He's perkier and is now pretty yappy so that's really good to hear. I guess the anti-nausea medicine is working! She did say he still wasn't eating, and she thinks it might be because of the food they're trying to feed him. Because of the damage to the intestinal tract, they have to feed him something that's easy to digest but in turn is quite bland. (I believe it's the Science Diet Prescription line... is that any good? I know I'll have to follow the vet's feeding instructions and they're planning on sending us home with 10 days worth but I've just heard some not-so-great things about SD. Is the prescription stuff different?) If he still refuses to eat that, she's going to try feeding him some regular puppy food. Turns out he's a picky eater . That's mommy's boy. Anyway.... the vet said she'd like to keep him til at least tomorrow morning for observation but if he can keep the food down.. we might get to bring him home within the next couple of days!

Aww, how exciting. The Science Diet Pres. line is pretty gross BUT in this case I would not hesitate feeding it. It is just for a week or two and if your doggie tolerates it, great. I would not try a different food and risk complications if it isn't necessary.

| When Punkin had surgery our vet sent us home with a can of that same stuff. What is really strange is that our vet is a HUGE fan of homecooking. She said she was afraid Punkin wouldn't eat her regular food. She said it woudn't hurt for a few days. I was hesitant to fed it to her. I only gave her a bit a couple of times with lots of water in it, to boost her water intake. Punkin thought it was delicious! She also ate her regular food no problem from the moment we brought her home. Hopefully your baby will be home with you soon |

| More good news!! I just spoke with the vet again. She said he ate a meal earlier this afternoon and she just fed him another one for the night. He finished it all and is acting like a puppy again.. SO! If he keeps his all of his dinner down overnight (cross your fingers!) then he'll be able to come home tomorrow!!! I don't know if you can tell, but I'm ECSTATIC!

Diana, I am SOOOOOOO Happy for you and Franklin that i am crying. I am praying that he keeps his food down tonight and that he will be 100% back to normal to come home w/ his mommy tomorrow. One thing that you won't have to ever worry about with him again is Parvo. My vet told me after my baby got sick that if a dog survives parvo they have a lifelong immunity to it. so YAY!!!!!!! Again SO SO SO SO happy for the two of yall!
