When Punkin had surgery our vet sent us home with a can of that same stuff. What is really strange is that our vet is a HUGE fan of homecooking. She said she was afraid Punkin wouldn't eat her regular food. She said it woudn't hurt for a few days.
I was hesitant to fed it to her. I only gave her a bit a couple of times with lots of water in it, to boost her water intake. Punkin thought it was delicious! She also ate her regular food no problem from the moment we brought her home.
