Let's think positive! I believe Teddy will have a good outcome with this problem. Let's see what the specialist has to say.

Brilliant news folks. Teddy came back home to his loving family yesterday. Unfortunately, as the hospital cannot find what is causing the problem, we can't say he is cured. For the moment, with the aid of medication, he is able to poo (fingers crossed) and maybe when he is a bit bigger they can do further examinations. He is back to the happy little chappy I know, terrorising the other dogs and cats and generally making a nuisance of himself. The only difference is he either wants you to play with him or cuddle him which is to be expected after a week away from home. For now he is home and we will happily take each day as it comes. It goes without saying that I thank all you people out there for your prayers and good wishes. I won't forget any of you. Margaret

I just don't know how to thank all you good people, your good wishes and prayers must be doing something. Teddy has been home for just over a week and is doing fine with the medication. The consultant is pleased with him and when I ring in another week, if Teddy is still doing well will reduce the dosage of the medication. He can't tell me if Teddy will grow out of this, it is just a wait and see game but if he stays the happy little boy that I have now, I will cope with medication. I really am grateful to all you people, I have drawn comfort from you and you helped me through a terrible stage in my life as well as helping Teddy. God bless all of you. Love Margaret

Hi Margaret We're so glad to hear that your little Teddy is doing fine. They sure scare us when they are sick, eh? I bet that he will outgrow it, at least that is my guess. I have been wondering about him, as my little guy's name is Teddy, as well. Take care Janelles

| Thank you for the update on Teddy. Praise God that he is doing so incredibly well. I'll pray that he does outgrow this and can come completely off the medication

Margaret -- I missed this whole thread until now. I was dealing with my own problems (serious leg injury). I will keep little Teddy in my thoughts and prayers. Who else but a yorkie lover would pray for poop! Thank you for all of the regular updates.....

Further good news! Teddy has had no Peridale for over one week. He has had reduced Lactulose for about 5 days and now has no medication at all. I spoke to his Specialist yesterday and he is really pleased, it is just a case of monitoring him now. If he has any trouble I can just put him back onto the medication till he is ok again. The Specialist says that if he continues like this for a few more weeks then they do not need to see him again. For all you people out there with poorly Yorkies, please take heart. I know that Teddy's problem may seem insignificant against some of the terrible things your Yorkies may be suffering from but if they had been unable to sort him out then I would have lost him. Take your strength and comfort from the lovely people throughout the world who are aout and about on Yorkie Talk. Love to you all. Margaret
