| I have to make special food as mine have liver issues. But my Mom homecooks for hers, this is what she uses: 1. Lean Beef - Boiled and drained well. She uses either hamburg meat or she will get a London Broil and ask the butcher to grid it up for her. 2. Brown Rice 3. Steamed Veggies or Frozen: Carrots, Green Beans, Zucchini, etc. 4. Dried Cranberries Since the above is very lean and low in fat, you need to add some oil (not cooked though) Either Canola or Olive - they do need some healthy fat in their diet. Supplements: She uses Nupro or Misisng link / Bone Meal for Calcium / Fish Oil for the Omegas Very Simple - She makes a huge pot worth and freezes it for later use. |
