Original Poster, I'm so sorry.

Please keep us updated. You vet should explain how to use those supplements. I know Denosyl is given one hour before eating (usually in the am). If you have to give it with food use a VERY small piece but try to avoid that. It cannot be crushed or broken. Pills should be followed by a little bit of water.

MVD would show on a biopsy, but the vet inevitably saw the liver while he was in there, so I would hope that he searched for a liver shunt while he was in there too...
There is a possibility that this baby could have both MVD and a single extrahepatic shunt.

so far hes fine!!!! hes just on milk htistle and denosyl right now and in april he goes back for another bile test.. im going to ask the vet then if she saw any shunt while she was in there or if she thinks its an internal one,,,buts hes as active as ever!!
