| My new dog Mochi does this too. I've had him for two days and he does the weird wheezing/air stuck in the pipes noise when he is over excited or drinks water too fast. I guess I am going to take him to my vet and see what they say but it seems like even vets don't seem to know much. I wonder if I should demand an x-day to check his trachea? |

| Cali is my smallest one she is only 9wks old and she is doing that. But only as she gets excited. So we all agree there. I had a friend say his vet said it was an underdeveloped Esophogus, so not sure. I just know she doesn't do it for a long time then if we come around and she knows she going to get picked up she will get excited and start it. Or if she is playing with Zoie the 7mo old and they get to wrestling. I thought maybe since she was young she would out grow it. She is too young for a harness or anything so that wouldn't be the cause.

| There's another thread on here with the same subject, what are the odds? Anyway, my Bella does it too. Only when she gets excited but not every time, and I've noticed it a few times when she drinks. It makes me feel a little better knowing that this seems to be a common problem with Yorkies and not necessarily that something is wrong.
