| thank you for the update. So thrilled to hear the vet had some ideas and that she is already responding!!! Can you crush the supplements and mix them with say the sweet potatoes?

| Thanks for the update. No advice for the strong smell of the vitamins. Charlie had to take Ivermectin (extremely bitter and oral syringe) for Demodex. I would have to corner him, hold his head and sending the bitter medicine down his throat. Always followed up with a treat or piece of cheese. Did I feel bad? Yes and gave Sophie Vitamin K injections. Try to think of better you than the tech taking Lily in a back room and forcing her. Good luck, Deborah

| I'm so happy the outlook is better, bless her little heart. That diet sounds pretty darn good - one I should be on . The only thing that works for us as far as sneaking meds in is to wrap it in a piece of cheese. My 2 don't even take time to smell it once they hear a cheese wrapper. I hope you find something so taking the meds won't be stressful for Lily. That's the last thing she needs. Keep getting better, Lily. We all love you.

| I'm so glad to hear she is doing better! When I give Maddie or Libby pills, I hide them in a little piece of Natural Balance roll. They love that stuff and it works well for giving pills. If they are supposed to take the pill on an empty stomach, I grind up the pill in between two spoons and then just dump it in their mouth. I hope and pray your precious baby continues to improve!

| What a great update, thank you! I am so thankful that you are finally seeing improvement. Prayers will continue as she recovers! I have had great success also with crushing Toto's pills and mixing them with a tiny dab of NutriCal [she is a NutriCal addict!]. She slurps it up in one lick and I follow that by another little dab to make sure it all goes down. I haven't had to give her anything that I can't mix with a little something so I can't imagine how you could get that down with nothing. Good luck!

| Lily's plan sounds promising, thanks for keeping us all updated. Maybe this new vet has a suggestion as to how to get them into her...I'd ask. What is the food she is allowed to eat with the strongest odor? Maybe that will mask the odor of the supplements. I really wish you luck with this, and I wish Lily well...time for another prayer now.

I just have one thing to say about these little yorkie kids- they have a way of working so deep into our hearts- that we will go to great lengths to do whatever they need us to do. I love my girls too and it does not matter what I have to do for them- i will do it. No one knows the love a sweet yorkie gives unless they have a yorkie themselves. That is why i am so thankful to YT! always full of prayers and good advice! | |
