I just came across this thread as well. I am SO glad she is okay!!!!! :bighug: |
So glad to check in today and see that she is home and herself again!!!! |
What a great update!! Praying Pippa will be the pup she was before the accident. Glad you have your cuddle-bug home :angel2dl: |
It's wonderful to read she is doing fine again, thanks for the update. Hugs & kisses to your baby from us. |
action and reaction I hate to say this but let's say your son did it on purpose. He probably wouldn't think it would do anything to her... and now he says it was an accident so he doesn't get in trouble. Well... you don't want him to live w/ the fact that he did it on purpose and lied.... the guilt will eat him alive so even if you are POSITIVE it was an accident... reassure him that sometimes we do things w/o realizing the consequence... especially as kids... and now we know and that will never happen again... but it is still not his fault... he couldn't have known. While I am sure it was an accident... this will just help just in case. Kids don't always have that action - reaction thought process... it still means it was an accident. This coming from someone who has a child that doesn't (due to brain damage) understand action and reaction so I see it in "normal" kids all the time! My prayers are w/ you all! |
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope she will be okay... |

I hope everything continues to get better with your new baby. How scary, I'm glad to hear you are all feeling better. :) |
Just wanted to say that Pippa is doing well, besides being a little more tired... She had a bath today and boy did she need it. But I had put it off so that wouldn't stress her. She did great! :D |

My hubby had a dear dog named Pipsqueak when he was little ... Pipsqueak marked on hubby as his "property" one day when he was watching cartoons and Dave's mother took Pipsqueak to the pound!!! :( Saddest story I ever heard... Anyway, Pippa is named in homage to Pipsqueak, and Pippa is really a name that is more popular in Europe, it means "horse lover". :) |
We are very glad to hear good news about Pippa! I hope she continues her speedy recovery. hugs and prayers! |

Oh dear, I just found this thread. Sorry to hear the frightening experience your family went through!:( But so glad to hear about the wonderful improvement. I hope it continues until Pippa is all well and your hearts are healed.:) |
sgtpeppersmama If you read my thread... you would realize I was just trying to save her son from massive guilt. Are you a teenager? How about a mother. What most of us know after having children or really evaluating decisions made as a teen and preteen is that teen agers are all brain damaged. I know of where I speak... I have a daughter that actually has brain damage and a son that is a genius but I could swear that he has brain damage sometimes. It is a WELL documented fact that as teenagers especially early on there is a lag in brain development in the action and reaction part of the brain. This is why we don't let 14 yr olds drive. I was trying to say this pre-emptively before anyone said it in a negative way. BECAUSE if he did do it... he probably didn't realize what would happen. I mean there are kids that torture animals... but I WAS NOT SAYING that he was one of those... just perhaps he had a lack of judgement... and if she said on it was just an accident and the dog dies or is permantely damaged the kid would have tremendous guilt because he would know it wasn't (AND STILL THAT IS JUST IF ...IF HE DID IT ON PURPOSE) an accident. I just wanted her to reassure her son that even if he was playing w/ her... did it to see what the puppy did... that he didn't live w/ possibly life long guilt. I know where of I speak because I killed my favorite kitten in the world by slamming her head in the car door when I was twelve. I almost had a nervous break down over it. And that was a total accident... but I lived w/ the thought what if i had done this or that. These things can scar a kid... just wanted her to cover all the bases. I was not implying she had a psycho Jeffrey Dommer on her hands...lol! I hope that the creater of the post understands what I was getting at... and if she does.. that is all that matters... don't care what anyone else thinks! |
