Oh my!...I sure hope Pippa is better tomorrow....Your son must be so sick himself...Keeping Pippa in my thoughts...... |
I had no idea this could happen, I'm sorry you're going through this but thank you for sharing this information (warning). Kylie made me give her the old one... now it's her toy vacuum (kenmore upright). It's actually quite a funny story; I replaced my carpet with laminate floors and got a shop vac for my reno's, since I didn't need my old vacuum I decided to let her play with it just a bit more before I threw it out... unfortunately she was quite upset when I tried to get rid of it so now it's at the shop. I think I'll put a nylon over the hose opening to prevent any possible accidents from happening. Alana |

She has been the perfect puppy from the minute we got her. Happy, friendly, social, energetic... I meant that last night I immediately knew that something was wrong, but my son hadn't told me yet about the vacuum , because he didn't really think anything of it as she seemed (to him) fine for a few minutes. I walked into the room about ten minutes after it happened and he had gone onto other things... Sorry for the confusion, I think I confused a few other people too... |
We are praying for you and your baby!! |
I just wanted to say that today on Thanksgiving I am thankful that there are a bunch of people across the globe who gather here to share a little of themselves and their lives ... It's great to know that people were thinking about us today... Pippa is home, She had some swelling in her lungs and also they think in her head... She is a little wobbly still, but her eyes and ears are good, and she is "herself" again. Her blood sugar crashed early this AM while still at the ER, probably due to trauma and the change in food...She was already on an IV so they gave her some fast IV sugar/fluids. I went over this morning with some of her food to see if that would help and by the time I got there she had eaten a good amount of baby food that they gave her, and they decided she could come home! She has perked up so much, and my son feels a lot better. I'll never forget his face when he realized that there was something seriously wrong with her, he just wept... :( I really thought she was going to lose her sight permanently... I am really blessed today to have wonderful children and a sweet husband who cried with me as he drove us to the emergancy vet... Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers.. ... :heart to :heart to :heart to |

Oh my goodness, I just found this thread,,hope pippa is doing better now back home again,,, I also feel bad for your son, I am hoping he will feel better now she is home safe and doing better... puppy hugs to you all!!!! |
I just saw this tonight. I'm so sorry. It is sounding like she will be as good as new as time passes???? I'm hoping so anyway. Tell your son not to feel so bad. It wasn't his fault. We have all had close calls if you've had these little doggies for very long. It is part of life and sometimes we get lucky and there is no permanent harm and other times we aren't as lucky. Keep us up to date. |
I am just coming across this post now. I am so happy to hear that Pippa is doing fine and your son is doing better. Thank goodness they are all back under the same roof and Pippa is healing. |
Great news!!!!! I'm so happy for all of you. |
I just ran across this thread!! Oh my. BIG BIG hugs to Pippa, you, and your family (especially your son). I would have never ever thought that could be so dangerous. I'm so glad that we all learned a lesson and yet still have a happy ending. You have something special to be thankful for, for sure! |
