The vet just called and Pippa's xrays showed some swelling in the lungs probably from the brief "negative pressure" of the vacuum... But she is breathing okay with the oxygen. She's gotten some meds to help with the swelling. So they are watching for a brain injury because of the wobbly walking, and her circling behavior with the head pressing.... She's just not herself, and I know you all know what I mean. We know our babies! :(

You know we've had her with us for only three weeks, and within seconds of picking her up (before I knew about the vacuum) I knew something was up... I thought hypoglycemia and gave her a little nutrical, but she just kind of smeared her face in it ... within minutes I knew there was a serious problem, I was afraid someone had dropped her and didn't tell me.

Thank you for the update!! What promising news to hear her breathing is better with the oxygen. I pray you have a peaceful night and she will have good care. Continuing to pray

Poor little baby! I will say a prayer that all s well soon for her. I bet it was scarry for you and your poor son!

I'm so sorry, my prayers are with you, and the little one, hope she recovers soon, and starts feeling better. These little ones get into things that are sometimes hard to imagine, they so much like toddlers, cant leave them out of sight.
I'm glad you came here to talk about it, people here are very supportive.

Prayers from us for your little Pippa that her symptoms are just temporary. Sending a big hug for your son, poor guy. He must be so sad. I'm sorry.

This is so sad! I would never have thought a vacuum could potentially cause this much damage, so I've really learned something.

So, in your 2nd post - are you saying that you think something was already "off" with her when you first got her? I'm so sorry! All my thoughts are with you.

I just saw this and am sooooo sorry. Poor little Pippa and your poor son must be scared. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

I'm so sorry about Pippa. So she hadthese symptoms before the vaccuum incident> I think head pressing can be a sign of liver shunt,has she been tested? Did you mention any of this with her breeder when you first noticed it?[
