				 | update: Hey everyone, thanks for all of your prayers yesterday. We won't find out Lucy's bloodwork results until Wednesday at the earliest. And we won't know whether or not the mass removed from Max's ear is cancerous until Friday. However, the Vet said she was concerned about the mass because it was larger than she thought and went deeper into the skin than she orignally thought. But he is at home and recovering now. He was pretty groggy last night but seemed to be in good spirits. Please keep us in your prayers as we await these results.

				 | Lucy's blood results are in! Hello everyone just wanted to update you on Lucy's blood results. Just talked to the Vet and she said that Lucy's liver profile came back completely normal And her Acid Bile results were Pre: less than 1 which is great (it was 14 the first time) and her post was still elevated at 33.5 (which is up from 15 last time). She told me that she most likely has MVD and that the next step would be to have an X-Ray done to see the size of the liver and then I would go and talk with an internalist at the CARE Center where they might do an ultrasound and a liver biopsy when they spay her. Which is what i was trying to avoid when I waited to have her results re-done. It's expensive but she's my baby and I will have to make it work. Anyway I asked if I should switch Lucy's diet from the Innova Puppy food and she said that I could put her on a LD Diet or on a Vegetarian diet. So people with MVD puppies what do you reccommend also is there any additional supplements that you would suggest i use as well. She's currently on Missing Link. Thanks!

				 | Thanks everyone your prayer's have been amazing. We got a call today from the Vet about Max's tumor and it came back benign so he is fine, we just have to watch him to make sure he doesn't develop any other masses! And like I said that suspect MVD for Lucy...question for those with MVD pups...do they do okay when you put them to sleep? Because I want to have Lucy spayed after I get an x-ray of her liver to make sure it's not an abnormal size and I just want to know how other MVD babies reacted to anthesia is there a certain kind I should request?

				 | That is great news! Ellie just had her spay and liver biopsy. She does not have MVD. Since it was suspected the vet used Isoflourine and masked down with the same. She didn't use any injectables. You could put her on Royal Canin Hepatic LS 14. It is a good food for liver compromised dogs but it made Ellie itchy. Natural Balance makes a veggie food that some use. Just remember no beef, lamb, venison and it is best to try and stay away from duck and turkey because of the tryptophan. Yorkieluv just did a post about this in the Health and Diet section.
