I have a Cpt. Jack Sparrow also - we named him that because we have an all black kitty named Black Pearl - so now we have Black Pearl and Cpt. Jack. We call him Jack for short. |
(I don't know if I already posted in this thread or not). But Jackson was actually named after Johnny Cash's song. :p Ya know, "I'm goin' to Jackson...." but now that Micheal Jackson died, most people think that's who he's named after, which isn't a bad thing cuz I love MJ! :) |
I can't remember if I have posted here already, either, but Meg was named after Megatron from Transformers. My DH was hesitant to get such a small dog (Meg was ~1 lb when we took her home), and had always imagined having a dog with a "big dog" name like Skull or Killer. I told him he was nuts, and that we might as well call her "Megatron" (Transformers 2 was just coming out), and... it stuck! We call her Meg for short. And no, at the time I didn not realize that Megatron was the villian of the story. :rolleyes: |

Sir Galahad, but we mostly just call him Galahad, hehe, is the given name of Lancelot...Arthurian legend, yay! Anyhow, we chose that name because his shiny silvery fur looked like a knights armor, and the name just fit. :) I LOVE the Sir Didymus one, I love Labyrinth, hehe. He was a fox-terrier though. :) |

Roxy was a name I had picked out forever, and I loved the name Roxanne. Cause I love the movie Roxanne. But, after Anna Nicole died, I loved her so much, and her little Sugar Pie, that I decided that Roxy's name would be Roxanna Nicole... and thats what her AKC papers say. My family and I are HUGE Star Wars fans. I was out voted for Yoda, so we named our yorkie "Chewie" after Chewbacca the Wookie. Still trying to figure out full name for AKC registration. |
