Yes, initially we called her Cassiopeia (prononced cass-ee-OH-pee-uh), the vain queen in the greek mythology. However, somehow we ended up pronouncing it as 'cass-ee-opia'. Therefore, we've decided to change the spelling as well to 'Cassiopia' and did away with the vain queen's name. :) Cassi's little brother will be arriving in another 2 weeks, so we need to come up with a name for him. We've considered the following: Perseus, Aristotle, Orion, etc. |
Biggie is named after Biggie Smalls the deceased Rapper. My husband got to name Biggie. I typically listen to Pop and Country music so I was not familiar with the rapper at first, but now love it when I hear his songs because in most of them he mentions Biggie or Biggie Smalls and it makes me smile. :) |

Where do I begin...well Shiloh is named after the children's book, Patty is named after Peppermint Patty from Charlie Brown, Carly is named after Carly Simon and of course Tinkerbell is a gimme...the puppies have temporary names we call them for now...Ozzy for Ozzie Osborne, Merlin as in magician, Flash for Flash Gordon, Hailey for Hailey's Comet and last but not least Rowdy is named after Rowdy Roddy Piper, the wrestler..all of our Yorkies were named after someone or something famous...not very original I know, but they fit their names, so it all worked out in the long run |
Rocky is a combo for Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and Rocky the Flying Squirrel (when he flies from one chair to another in the living room)! He likes to stand on his hind legs and sort of "box" with his paws, especially when I have just come home and he is wanting instant attention. That is where we actually started with the name Rocky. Then his flying escapades cinched it! Wondering if we will have a Bullwinkle in the future.....maybe not!.:D |
