Yes, our Yorkie, Obi, is named after Obi Wan Knobe from Star Wars...and some days the force is definitely with him!

I loved the name, so I kept it.

Roxy had her name when I took her in, and I didn't want to traumatize her any further by changing her name. I tried to call her Moxy, but people didn't know what it meant, so I just stuck with Roxy.

Well as hard as I've tried to think of someone famous with this name that I know, I've come up with nothing, so no, Sasha isn't named after any famous character or anything. The name just fit her perfectly when I saw her.

My Sassy (Sassafras) is named after my favorite childhood town where my granny lived. Not famous to all but famous to me

Aiden is the name of my sons favorite band. He met them and hung out with them at Crossgates a few years back beore they became very popular.

Oh yes. She has never really made the meow sound, she does what we call "mips". Very short little sounds almost like she's saying mom. However she has different tones and there are times we say we're glad she can't form words. We're afraid of what she might actually say! LOL

Well, technically no since I don't have a yorkie...

however, three of my dogs were named after movie characters.

Sandy was named after Sandy on Grease and Chance was named after Chance on Homeward Bound. Lilo wasn't named by me; but her first family; but she was named after Lilo on Lilo and Stitch.

So,
yes, a character.

My dh named him before we even saw him in person, Maximus Decimus Meridius, from the movie The Gladiator, with strict instructions that he is to be called Maximus and never "max". ROFLOL
