| Do you microchip?? Just curious. My two pups are microchipped by HomeAgain. Thought of this in response to another thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...75#post1360175

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Izzy was chipped with the Home Again and it's cool when your vet scans them to show you their number and to make sure that the chip is still working. Every time you go to the vet ask them to scan just to make sure all is well.

| No microchip here. Ellie wears old fashion tags. I would never consider chipping her because nothing like that is going in her little body...not a chance. I wouldn't tatoo because I don't agree with humans getting them, so why would I let her? Besides they wear off and I think they are tacky. If she got stolen, who would take her to a vet to so they could scan anyway? How many vets scan just because. I don't think there are many.

| I read on here about the numbers on the tatoos running together/wearing off. THe microchip argument could be made that if someone was caught with your dog the chip would identify the dog as yours which is true. It is a risk I am willing to take. They will be injecting humans with chips next...

| I'm sorry I was just being antagonizing with that last post... I know that HomeAgain gives free scanners to shelters and humane societies, and they do scan every animal and register their # that comes in. Whether or not they check on the HA website I do not know.
