Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I have contemplated the Mac again. A few years back when they colored iMac (clamshells) came out I purchased one...but didn't care for the operating system. I am a total windows user all day and it's hard to go back and forth from the two operating systems.

It requires that you install a program called bootcamp. I have this installed on my Mac and I have the option to boot under Windows or Mac OS. | |

| I use a Mac and will never use anything else i love it. it is EXTREMELY reliable. in the year that i have had mine, i have had ZERO problems with it...and all of my friends that have had their laptops less time than I have had mine...all have either bought new ones because theirs went NUTS or they have had theirs in the shop at least twice. and since it runs windows, i don't have to worry about websites that only run on windows or software programs that are not mac compatible. i will say this...i RARELY use windows on it. so, for me, the mac is the perfect laptop in fact, we have 3 macs in our house LOL

| you can also use parallels and use it in "coherence mode" where you don't have to boot up in windows but can run windows programs just like all of your other programs. you don't see any difference and it keeps you from having to switch back and forth. this is what i do when i need to use windows and it works like a charm for me. and parallels is a free beta program.

| I have a little macbook. My husband made me get it when my HP died and he said he was NOT supporting Vista. He is a programmer and he made the switch almost a year before me. We even put a little apple sticker on our car I use a PC at work and my only problem switching back and forth is that I hate windows now. It took me a while to adjust, but I did. People always ask me how to do stuff at work and I'm like, windows makes it too complicated... just buy a mac. Plus, they are TINY.

| Dell inspiron - shouldn't have gotten such a big screen though, it's not very portable, it's pretty heavy. I'm afraid I wouldn't be computer saavy enough to figure out a mac book, but everyone I know that has one, loves them.

| We are Mac fans. However, when we needed to purchase a laptop, we couldn't afford the all-out Macbook that we wanted so we went for a Dell. We bought it during the 10 days of deals sale last year and have been very satisfied. It has a massive screen, nice keyboard layout, and works well for our field (graphic/web design). |
