All my babies were microchipped within a week of bringing them home. I don't trust poeple nowdays.

None of mine are chipped. I have heard many conflicting stories and I still need to think about it........

Both of my yorkies are chipped. My Brother in law told me that there is a law here that if a dog is in your yard you can claim it as yours and do what you want with it including having it euthanized. Thats even if it has tags. I am going to look into that and see if it is true it just sounds so far fetched.

Emma has a chip, and Milli will be getting one at the next animal rescue league event. Emma got hers there for $15, and didn't even cry. She was more interested in the treat they gave her as distraction

Our vet charges $50 to do it

, so we won't be doing it there!

At Emma's vet checkup, I had them scan her to make sure it was working, and sure enough, they got a reading from it. They also registered her chip number to be associated with their clinic, so that if Emma was ever found somewhere, she could be returned to our vet clinic if we couldn't be reached.

You might want to have your pets' chips checked out too, just to be sure they're working-couldn't hurt!

Yes all my animals are, in France if you dont have a chip you must have a tattoo by law. I feel the chip is kinder, ive got tattoos i know how much it hurts!

Shasta is microchipped but it has moved it is not in her neck anymore I dont know why that is but the vet said it has happend before and it is nothing to worry about , but the only way I will find her if she ever comes up missing is if they scan her whole body and most places only check the neck around here
